Work booked trip through T/A with minimal room to move (Q or O fare)
About the only options available are the flight times, which gives me choice of aircraft. Any plus or minus to either of them and any best seat recommendations would be great

With what you have posted A380 is really the only choice, however I am sure there is more to it.

A380 leaves Dubai at 10:30 am and arrives at 6:40am (ish) and is a 14 hour flight

With the 777 leaves Dubai at 2:30am and arrives in BNE at 00:50am and 17 hours with a transit in Singapore for a few hours around 3pm in the afternoon.

A380 has way bigger and better seats and you don't have the transit and extra security check to go through, unless you like lounges and want to sample the EK SIN lounge which is the best lounge EK has just after BNE if you ask me.

Cabin widths: B777 5.86m A380 6.58m. Both 3-4-3 configuration. Seats 1 inch wider on the A380. No contest in the air.

Also forgot to add 777 has more risk of delays than A380 from where I sit and have seen
