OK.. I think I understand the benefits (accomodation/meals/visas) and rules here... more than x hours until first availble flight and so on..

BUT... what sort of itinerary would meet these requirements?

Seems that (say) SIN-DXB-LHR never would - as their are flight pairs available with shorter connections...

Curious about this....

Dubai Connect will be available to customers with an itinerary that includes a long stopover where the connection time is:
a) Between 6 and 24 hours for First and Business Class customers;
b) Between 8 and 24 hours for Premium Economy an dEconomy Class
passengers; and
c) There is no earlier scheduled connection available (on either Qantas or
Emirates services)

Sorry... should have been clearer...

Given the availability of connections < 6 hours on (say) SIN-DXB-LHR trips... and therefore no opportunity to use this service on such an itin.... I'm curious as to WHERE one would be flying so that the conditions WOULD be met....

Thanks! I've been playing on ITA and couldn't find any SIN-DXB-Europe that qualified.....

My son recently flew BNE-DXB-CCU (BNE-DXB is via SIN) and had a 13 hour connection at DXB. Whilst not QF (op or codeshares), and not to/from Europe, the 13 hour connection was the next scheduled service to CCU. The return involves a slightly longer transit at DXB.

I booked my partner on MEL-SIN-DXB-LHR in 1 ticket and he was eligible for Dubai Connect with EK 355 arriving at 12.55 am and EK 29 departing at 9.40 am even though there are earlier EK flights. Unfortunately I'm travelling on an award ticket from SIN to DXB to meet him there and a separate revenue ticket onwards so I'm hoping I can still join him at the hotel...
