to the experts around this forum:

We are relocating to Saudi next month, we really would love to stay in Dubai some extra days prior to our settlement in Saudi.

As we all entitled for 400 kg excess bagages (I think this will come as voucher to be redeemed at the time we are checking in?), naturally it will be a hassle to lug all our laguages to hotel in Dubai if we want to stop in Dubai first.
We wonder if there is a storage around Dubai airport that we can use to avoid lugging all our excess bagages?

Or what is the best way to do all the excess bagages, should we do the unaccompanied bagage to go first so that we do not have to carry all those extras with us?

thanking you all in advance for your advices.

400Kg is a huge amount, almost half a ton. I don't see you carting that around on your own very easily.

In the past, my wife and I had a similar arrangement for excess baggage MAN-SYD (a much nicer itinerary IMHO). Needless to say we sent it unaccompanied in advance.

Clifford, It is going to be over half a ton once we added 4 times business class baggage allowance.:(

We are trying to get the company to allow us to do unaccompanied bagage rather than excess bagage voucher, but I am not sure if they will allow us to do so, although personally I think it will ended up costing less to the company, but hey, some rules are really hard to bend, beside who knows if the company do have their own deal with Emirates? We still are waiting for the approval.

I wish I know how to convert those voucher to the unaccompanied bagage :(

I finally got the answer I was looking for, too bad that we are not allowed unaccompanied bagage, that means that we just have to go straight to Dhahran and thinking of escape to Dubai later on.:(

I posted here anyway just incase somebody else need the same info in the future
