The first time for a while we have actually left from HKG. Normally it is just a transit. Doing everything makes you realise how big the terminal is. Very easy to get your steps up. We arrived about 10 minutes before TG check in opened. No one else had arrived when it did so very soon through Security even though both our bags took a detour down the secondary inspection route neither were opened and we were waved through. As well just old X ray machines but my knee replacement did not set off an alarm.
No problems with Immigration then took off on a search for the SQ lounge. Seemed to go around in circles before we finally found it. Comfortable enough but since we had breakfast at the IC didn't check out the food offerings.
The gate was a long way from the lounge so we left early and got many more steps in by no taking the moving footways. At the gate all the premium seats for the elderly, disabled and infants were taken u by teenagers. We and 2 couples with infants were given our own lane beside the group 1 queue. Didn't worry that the late arrival of a fellow in a wheel chair was give precedence but annoyed when 6 adults plus 6 kids the youngest probably about 8 were allowed in after him. They weren't with the wheelchair passenger. This is where I miss the JAL agents. Infant to them means 2 or under and they vet the passports.
The fellow in the wheelchair was in J none of the others were. A very good crew onboard. friendly and efficient. Once again a PDB of butterfly pea dink. You can ask for champagne if you really want it. This flight was an A359 so a more comfortable experience than the flight to HKG. The window seat in Row 16 looked to have plenty of room..

My seat.

The table is In a different spot to other ailines I have been on.

The menu.

Mrsdrron had the beef short ribs.

Whilst I had the prawns.

The rest of the tray was the same.

No wine list but the wines were the same as those on the flight to HKG so Mrsdrron had the Sav Blanc and I the Medoc. When the table was cleared I laid back and went to sleep. We were about 15 minutes late into BKK.
Parked at a remote stand. Not so easy coming down the stairs with a walking stick but an FA took Mrsdrron's down and a young fellow graciously took mine fom me and put it on the bus.
