Hi All,

Looking to make an Award Booking for next October whilst there's still (limited) availability - for myself and Mrs BD. At this stage it's not 100% certain Mrs BD will be travelling.

Are there any issues with dropping 1 passenger from an Award Booking which has two - any danger of "losing" the availability in the remaining passenger in the process, in which case I'd be better making 2 x 1 pax bookings ...?

Regards,

BD

In past times, I've had them simply split passengers off to separate Booking References when I've wanted to make changes to one passenger's flights. I can't see that doing this would affect the other remaining passenger's booking. YMMV.

Ditto. Never had a problem splitting 2 pax PNR into separate (and yes, this is with Award bookings), then cancelling one - the other is not affected.

I did this recently - cancelling 1 passenger out of a three person award booking. We’ve subsequently flown the flight. No impact other than the 6000 point change fee

You could always book them as separate if you're worried about it.

Yes, I could. However, some of the sectors will be BA ... and I'm thinking that my WP status on a combined booking would override the need for the NB Mrs BD to pay a seat tax in order for us to get seats together ... ?

Regards,

BD

Indeed, which is worse, potential booking problem should you need to cancel one or not sitting the the other half when flying......

Splitting a PNR is just 5 commands in Amadeus... it's a piece of cake. I would book on one PNR together then split the mrs off at a later date and cancel that PNR if she won't be flying.
