Driving Experts Thread

When driving on a freeway, if there’s a car in the emergency lane, move over to the right lane. What if a kid jumps out of the car?

And while I’m on a roll…..if you’re stopped at a red light and it changes to green, look right before you accelerate. Yes, you have right of way, but do you want to be legally correct, and dead?

So many people are running red lights in Melbourne.

I actually look left and right in case someone runs a red light. When riding a motorbike I'm actually very conscious of this and was actually taught to do this on a motorbike course I did.

Now this bloke is a driving expert, I will admit to have never heard of him before this rally. Apparently he has been around for a while in mostly 2 wheel drive cars. So this is a front wheel drive V6 Magna down near Lakes Entrance 2 weeks ago. Tristan Carrigan and Neill Woolley.

Anyone driving a Mercedes with the 1.8T engine circa 2011-2014? I think the engine is referred to as M271.
My question goes to the reliability of the engine. I've red timing chains may stretch around 100,000km service.

Looking to buy a used 2014 W204 so give it to me warts and all.
