Dreamliner upgauge for QF141/144 (SYD-AKL) 4Dec19 - 28Mar20

Not sure if this has been covered in another thread but I thought it worth sharing...

While looking at SYD-AKL flights in December I noticed QF141/144 has been upgauged to the 787-9 starting 4 December through late March (when it apparently drops back to a 737-800.)





I was able to find classic awards wide open in both U (83k return) and Z (62k return) as a WP but ExpertFlyer only showing availability in X so YMMV. Taxes $217pp in all classes of which most is actual taxes - only $30 in 'carrier charges'.

Apologies if already covered elsewhere - I searched but couldn't find anything.

The use of 789s on SYD-AKL has been extended to 23 June 2020.

I had noticed the QF 787 on the SYD - ALK routings, saw it on their website.
Very sweet deal, SC wise, ... esp in premY which the 737/330 with QF (except for that 787), or LA(TAM) don't cater for.
BUT, I am very keen to try the wide body AKL - BNE, so am doing the 330 with QF on that route.
I will see if finances will fit for me to try Adelaide Cup long weekend, SYD - AKL or vv on that 787.
