US Airways | Changing the way we do business

Beginning in August, we’ll charge $2 for all non-alcoholic beverages (including sodas, juices, bottled water and coffee) and $7 for alcoholic beverages (currently available for $5).

We will continue to serve complimentary beverages on US Airways Shuttle, and in First Class and Envoy.
US Airways | All about Preferred

Preferred mileage bonuses will be discontinued from our program on August 6, 2008. Tickets purchased on/after August 6, 2008 for travel on US Airways will no longer be eligible for a bonus. Segments flown on/after August 6, 2008 with one of our partner airlines will no longer be eligible for a bonus.
Hopefully not the start of a trend amongst the US carriers or it certainly does not bode well for the future of AAnother FFP...
