A QANTAS flight bound for Sydney has been forced to make an unexpected landing back at Melbourne Airport after the flight crew discovered a problem with the plane's wing-flap.

QF 430 took off from Melbourne at 12.20pm this afternoon with 214 passengers aboard and was only 20 minutes into its flight when the flight crew was alerted to a problem with the wing flaps.

The Boeing 767 landed safely back at Melbourne Airport 40 minutes after take-off.

The ever reliable ABC (News Radio) report it simple as a "problem with a wing".

But I agree, nothing to see here.

Another day, another 767 issue.

Some of those machines are almost as old as I am... :p

Two Words: Pathetic "Journalism",

10PM News last night "Report from terrified passengers as ANOTHER Qantas jet makes emergency landing...."

I wonder why Qantas keeps bending over and accepting this Brautwurst in the privates from news corp?

Foreign passengers told of their terrifying ordeal aboard a Canberra bound Rex flight which was told to return to Sydney yesterday due to engine failure.

Some passengers were upset that the 168 passengers were told few details of the episode.

They said the plane 'Porpoised like a dolphin chasing small fish' before turning around.

As a precaution, fire trucks were on standby when the Aero-spatiale Concorde landed.

Passenger Bruce Goatman last night was still recovering from the ordeal.

'I was scared for my life and I don't scare easily', the passenger said.

I've done the next article.

You forgot the terrifying loud bang and the tongues of flame at the rear of the engine.
For the personal view, you could add the FA running hysterically up and down the aisle screaming ...etc
