Hi all,

I have done some searching here and not found a recent thread on this issue (only one short thread from 2010) - apologies if there is and I have missed it.

Does anyone have experiences or can recommend an arrival concierge service (express or fast-track or similar) which is a paid option to clear immigration and arrival processes more quickly ? I have been referred to two options but would prefer to hear your experiences, good or bad. This is based on hearing that the immigration process can be a bit slow (hours) and I am planning to arrive DPS in the middle of the night with an infant so the option to pass quickly through the process would be worth a few extra dollars.

Thanks for your advice!

If you are flying Garuda you can do the immigration on board, its very efficient.

Yes, Garuda's service is great. I'm on VA next trip (no 'hijacks I hope), and have negotiated w' my accommodation to do it along w' the airport p/up. Another family member goes to DPS a lot and always pays for it, not sure of that person's contact details though.

Didn't that fellow from Queensland get the express service the other day?:D:oops:

Conrad Bali organised mine last Oct. Efficient and cheap from memory but you'll have to remind me of the company names if you want a recommendation.

I was on the first J* flight in though, and there was no queue anyway so wasn't actually that worthwhile!

Thanks Chumpy, good link to Bali Fast Track. I notice it says they may use the F lines, does that mean that F or J flyers are automatically fast tracked through some F line, it's a long time since I've visited DPS?

"Fast track means our customer does not have to stand in the normal immigration line, and / or is escorted quickly and easily through an immigration process. We use a VIP facilities; fast track channels, and crew, diplomatic, or first class lines."

We went J on VA but were not offered any express card from them.

After being met as we entered the terminal we were taken through a VIP lane for the VOA. He then took us past immigration to the luggage collection. Leaving us there he took our passports back to be stamped. Once we got our luggage they opened up a counter at customs for us then it was straight through to our hotel transfer.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions, these are really appreciated. As mentioned, I didn't post any of the links I had found online, they are:

VIP Arrival Airport Service - The Bali Concierge
Bali Fast Track: Arrival Services

First site has multiple immigration and transfer options, even lounge inclusion for a price. The basic fast track service is US$33 (+US$25 visa)
The second site has 2 options - just Visa and immigration clearance for $20 and same plus transfer to hotel for $35 (I presume these are US dollars and exclusive of the US$25 visa).

I like the look of just the immigration clearance option (option 1 for $20) on the Bali Fast Track website.

I did Bali concierge from memory. Simple, efficient. Not much else to say. Think the hotel organised it with my transfer, or I did it. Really can't remember and 'twas only around 9 months ago...

I went through arrivals in DPS last week. There was an immigration officer just before the queue who discreetly offered me a 'fast track" process with payment. The line wasn't so long (late night) <20 mins. so I politely declined. I observed that he managed to snare a punter after me though.
My average (non express) process time is around 30 minutes for past few arrivals.

Does the fast track (VIP meet and greet) service at DPS Bali arrivals still exist? I have heard its no longer available. If anyone could recommend a good company that offers this service for a trip in May I would be grateful. :)

Just returned from a trip to Bali.

Situation greatly improved, virtually no hold-up, a steady walk right through to exit without any interruption as far as our flight is concern, arriving close to midnight from Perth.

The problem doesn't seem to be immigration any more it's the baggage handlers - took JQ from SYD a month ago and it was a good hour after we deboarded that the bags came out. Immigration and customs flowed smoothly otherwise and no worse than other ports in Asia.

I agree with you, have now conditioned ourselves to travel with carry-on only. With a place like Bali of warm weather, hardly needs much clothes anyway. We've been on 7 weeks trip round the world with carry-on only. Often look at the crowd waiting for luggage, felt sorry for them, but then it's their choice. And stops the missus buying too much as well.

Flying to DPS next month, are these fast track services death or not longer required? Haven't been to Bali since 2013 so interested to hear your opinion on customs/immigration speed?

Had no trouble/delay etc, virtually walked straight thru. Absolute waste of money using "fast track service".
