Doubled dipping for points/FF points on balance transfers?

Hi

I have just completed a RTW trip on Qantas. We flew BA and AA (yuck!) as well. Just wondering if I can double dip and join another FF program and claim the points there too....?

Also, looking at doing a balance transfer from my AMEX to another card. Do you know of any which will give me QFF points on the balance transfer (and a low rate too preferably!)

No, you won't be able to do that. The airline on which you flew will know if they have already paid for FF points for your flight, either in their own program of that of a partner. And before another airline will credit you points, they will contact the operating airline and ask if any points have been paid out. The airlines pay each other for the points, so they want to know if they will receive payent before the will credit the points.
