Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

This middle name issue is a bit of a hazard especially when I joined up I used an initial not middle name and all these years later must add it onto International bookings

At the booking stage one must remember to add it in (plus avoid using Express Checkout)

Sighs

I've never heard of this being an issue and have earned points/SC from bookings both with and without my middle name, on Qantas and on partners (my QFF profile does not include my middle name)

As far as I'm aware, the only exact match needed is QFF number and surname.

@puchu if you don't get a favourable response from your follow-up email I would definitely give them a call. Make the point that you have already received points/SC from the flight you were involuntarily moved to, and you're just requesting they credit the earnings per the itinerary you booked. The Manila QFF team does have an escalation matrix, and if you push hard enough it will get escalated to a case manager who generally understands the actual ins and outs of the program, but it can take them up to 48 hours to call you back.

Thanks for your advice. I decided to ring them anyway and got through almost immediately to a team member. It turns out that my request was put in with the wrong flights (as in, the team member who received my original email entered the wrong things). They did a manual credit of the original flights and now we wait to see if the DSCs come in.

Going to suggest almost certainly you will need DSC manually adjusted too.

I won’t be surprised. The person who took my call gave me the usual 6-8 week timeline for DSCs but if it’s not done by next week I’ll call again

My next QF trip, in a few weeks, plus DSC, will get me to LTP in under 20 years since joining QFF. Not bad given I fly a lot more non-one world airlines.
Congrats (or is that commiserations?) That's a LOT of time in metal tubes - no matter the alliance!

Just got the Qantas RED email for the NZ sale - a bit annoying that the price has dropped for OOL-AKL (1 stop MEL/SYD) by about $300 for J class (through Business Sale fares). Is this usually the 'premium' we have to expect to pay for when we do these kinds of options? Is there a better way to 'cost-optimise' these kinds of DSC promos?

It didn’t post within 72 hours so I called up and asked for the manual DSC rather than wait 6-8 weeks. Very patient and helpful people they have on the other end of the phone there, salute to them.

Anyone know how long SC's earned on an EK flight with QF flight numbers take to post?

BTW it seems that the intern that Qantas employed to post the DSC's to our account even works weekends - seems like they got a really dedicated intern this year!

Variable 🫣 both codeshare flights:
SYD-CHC on 12Sep posted 15Sep
CHC-SYD on 15Sep posted 04Oct
Cheers - sounds typical Middle Eastern then - Insha'llah Bukra Ma'lesh - it might happen - some time or other - god willing.
