Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

Am I correct in thinking the SCs earned with reward seats as PC+ are 70% of full fare SCs? I'm already close to requalifying for this year so don't want to overspend if I don't have to.

Not 70% for all. You need to review the table herre.

Some are closer to.40-50% for example.

I see that Q no longer provide stopovers with full (separate flight) 'SC' value. For example Melb/Bris/Cairns was 60+60 SCs now only '100'!
Business prices have increased dramatically too from 2023 and 2022, I notice.

In The past
SCs were based on change of flight number. If there was a stop on the flight (eg Syd-LAX-NYC) you got extra credits if you swapped flight numbers but less if on the straight through flight

Looking up my preferred status run it’s still the same price same SCs

Also there’s been a long running J domestic price decrease as long as you book 45 days in advance

Hi Capt' thanks for your response. I just checked Melb/Syd/Well and Q is providing at best '90' SC's last year this was '125' (40 to Syd and 85 Syd to Well leg). Again, I'm finding my "goto's" are no longer appealing....

Are you saying I should book separate flights now Melb/Bris for '60', Bris/cairns 60, and separates in return. maybe I check this next... lots of mucking around then you run the risk of cancellations and Q don't come to the 'separate' booking party, I guess!

You still haven't explained how you are coming up with these allegedly changed numbers?

QF website projected earn, for example, is notoriously dodgy for connecting flights. I would not trust it.

Again in one booking, MEL-BNE-CNS will earn 60+60 in J (Flex J would get 70) pre DSC based on individual flight numbers - as has been for yonks.

One for my HBA friends. $3.08/SC.

I'm actually surprised at the lengths of some people who would actually do this (spend $2k for a literal overnight trip just for some SCs!).

As a Bronze member and a non-frequent flyer (don't even fly enough to even get to silver), SCs don't mean much to me. 😅

I'd take the double points instead and build those up to redeem award seats. 😅

Hi! Need some guidance here. What would be the cheapest way to get 100 status credit (I need 200 to keep gold) with this DSC promo?

I would not trust this. If you consider the SYD-WLG shows correctly as 80 for Sale J.

As I noted above - notoriously unreliable for connecting flights.

These sectors will be 120 in J.
Thanks Richard, I always double check the SC's to maximise the $/point since doing the DSC's these past 3-4 years. Never not checked and made sure we are on Q tin as well. This year I see less SC's, so naturally believe Q have moved the goal posts without me knowing.

Understandable, but I do not believe this to be the case. More the longstanding IT fail on those pages.

I would be very confident booking these itins as in the past.
