Double Status Credits when you fly

In an exclusive offer just for selected members, you can also earn double Status Credits on all eligible Virgin Australia flights. Simply book and travel between 2 November and 31 December 2016^. ​

^This offer is only available to the member who has received this email from Velocity and is not available to any other members. To be eligible for the bonus Status Credits promotion, you must book an eligible flight and travel between 12.01am AEDT 2 November 2016 and 11.59pm AEDT 31 December 2016 inclusive ('Promotion Period'). Your Velocity membership number must be included in your booking and it must match the number identified in this communication. Eligible flights are flights for travel during the Promotion Period, that are marketed and operated by Virgin Australia and booked in a fare class that is eligible for Status Credits accrual. Codeshare flights marketed or operated by Velocity's other partner airlines are excluded from this offer. Velocity Reward Seat bookings are also excluded. Bonus Status Credits will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades will not attract additional Status Credits. For multiple guests listed on the same booking, only Velocity members who have received this offer will be eligible to earn bonus Status Credits. Normal Velocity rules apply to retrospective claims which must be raised within 6 months from the date of flight.

it's 12k a year spent at Coles. I think it likely that people can earn more as it's still to be seen if family pooling will apply to multiple household FB accounts.

I was sent the double status credit for flying promo email back on the 4th of Nov., currently Gold expiring at the end of May. I only have 70 status credits in the bank at the moment so can't see me renewing Gold again next year even with this generous offer, only have one LST-SYD flight due in the promo period.

Is there a way to tell if one is targeted? Did you have to register for this promotion, or was it automatic?

I can't find any email but had a flight SC post double what I thought it should have been. When these post do they do it all in one go, or in a SC and bonus SC line?

It was in an email, but didn't need to register, it was auto. They have posted in the one line for my 4 flights, no separate bonus line.

Never got an email either, but a pair of domestic flights this month ended up being DSC. Win!

Typical VA, if they'd bothered to tell me I may actually have flown another trip with them...

To answer a previous question, I was on all Virgin metal. And to think I almost credited to Delta, only decided to go VA since I was on a flexi fare.
