Double Status Credit offer just arrived with renewal due in Sep!

I expect it arriving before May which didn't happen as I got many travel in May and June. Anyway, finally I got it and I need it. Congrats to myself!

I am very excited to share the exciting news. I just received the double status credit offer email which is exact 3 months due to renewal. With the offer, it will make me very easy to retain platinum status with probably just one oversea trip.

Now, I am hoping I can have a working trip to retain the status by Sep. Otherwise, I will try my first status run from MEL before end of Sep.

Thanks! I know they removed JASA. I just tried to redeem a flight. You are right. It is not attractive at all.

You can still get them by calling, but it is a lot more of a laborious process than it once was.

I received this today also. Less use for me, as I'm 25SC away from platinum in any case and would no doubt have made it anyway.

Two data points to add to the discussion:
1) my mate received this offer (Bronze going on Silver, expire 30Sep) today;
2) I did not receive an offer (710 SCs, expiry 30 Sep) but did receive one in early April.

It is hard to know when Qantas shoot you an email offer. I just looked at the offers sent to me in the last few years. All sent to me at different times. Here's the information for your reference.

1) 1/12/2010 1st double status offer sent to me. I got 0 status that time as I was overseas.
2) No offer from 2011
3) 4/4/2012 2nd double status offer sent to me. I am Silver with 590 status back then. That double offer is vital for me to become OP.
4) 1/7/2013 3rd offer sent me today. I am Platinum with 880 status.

Its not hard to work out likely offers, generally they are the week after Easter for the main general spread one and three months before anniversary, there have been other offers like one from time to time but the two outlined are pretty consistent.

No offer for me either, and also 610 SCs expiring 30 Sept and had the early April offer.

I got exactly the same offer (ie DSC for the 3 months JUL-SEP, with my year ending 30Sep). I also got one (like many others I think?) in early April for APR-JUN travel.

I'll retain WP regardless however and will get a solid benefit of about 20 or 40 SC's only because of both these pronmotions because of bad timing on my behalf....

Next year I will use and abuse them - and no having said that I am sure I wont get offered any......
