Don't Want To Go

I would be just as worried on Virgin or Jetstar, I know the media hypes things up... I just wish that things like this didn't happen at all
If someone's laptop can cause a plane to drop like that, then that's pretty serious, that shouldn't be able to happen or any such devices (mobiles, computers, ipods, etc) should be totally banned but how would they be able to guarantee that anyway.

I bet the people on that plane will never fly again, they looked terrified (the ones they interviewed)

Anyway I won't go on about it anymore, I'm either going to go or I'm not. Decision time :(
Try not to let your decision be controlled by emotion; use your logic.

Basically for domestics, the "maintenance" never left Oz!

The rate of such incidents has not changed over the last few years; this year the rate of reporting of such incidents has increased big time.

They did take some of their 737 fleet to Malaysia, as i recall. I also sat next to a bloke once who brother worked at Avalon. Few issues there as I recall with the 767 fleet.

We must have trust in our regulators at the end of the day.

Cheers SPRUCE:cool:

Well ... tomorrow's the day  Not looking forward to it but... I leave Perth 7.35am on a Qantas 737-800

Just one question do these aircraft have TV's in all seats?

No, there will be main cabin entertainment.

Enjoy your flight and safe journey.

Well I'm back and I survived :D:D

I actually like the flight once I'm up there but the take-off and landing does my head in :(

We went on a 767 on the way home and that seemed to be much more comfortable and it landed back in Perth so smoothly, it must have been the best landing I've had ... phew

The Indy was great ... I got a hug and photo with Craig Lowndes and Mark Beretta (from Sunrise) What an absolute hunk Mark Beretta is, looks so much better in real life, he is soooo hot
I only went to the Indy on the Sunday (not really my thing) but I enjoyed it.
We also went to Draculas, what a fun night that was ... very different

What scared me more than flying was going in the taxi, god they drive like lunatics.

Well; now I will have to plan something else - Maybe !!! :)

Getting to & from the airport by car is a lot more risky than flying (especially in some taxi's)

HOORAY!!! WELL DONE!!!

Congratulations for beating your fear and look how wonderful a time you had!

And the big question is: will you fly again, and if so where/when/what for?

The taxi drive puts it all in perspective doesn't it! I really hope you do plan more trips - the memories make it all worthwhile.
