Via AA RTW desk I booked two etickets DONE4 which I commenced last year. I had the tickets reissued as paper (AA Sydney) recently (more than 16 segments remaining). Today was the first paper ticketed flight QF703 CNS-MEL. On check-in I was directed to the sales desk at CNS. I was told that the ticket was "stuffed up" and the QF agent had spent the last 2 hours re-issuing the ticket because it had totally changed and QF had not been advised. After discussion, during which I of course produced the paper tickets, the agent advised that there was nothing to indicate that it had become a paper ticket. A few more key strokes cleared up the problem and we were on our way. Should I be worried about this for future flights on QF, AA, BA and IB?

Did QF actually re-issue the ticket? Did you receive a new wad of paper tickets?

If not, then I would not be too concerned about the remaining QF sectors, nor the AA sectors. But it may be worthwhile calling to confirm your other airline sectors in the 24 hours before first departure with each airline. Or at a minimum I would be arriving at the airport in plenty of time (min 2 hours) just to be sure.

No to both. She said she was trying to reissue it as an eticket and was surprised when we produced the paper tickets. Seems a bit scary to me!

Thanks for the sound advice. I also thought of asking AA to check status.
