I'm sure these have gone up since I last looked...

MEL-SYD $750 o/w
MEL-BNE $960 o/w

WTF are QF smoking? Who is paying these prices?
 
Still a lot less than they were a few years ago before virgin got in. MEL-BNE was around 1250 each way in those days!

It's not just QF. VA have about the same but worse if you have a stop-over in SYD.

Aye, PER - MEL with QF is a tad under Aud$2k, cheaper to fly MEL/SYD/BNE to NZ in J for about under Aud$1k.
Earning the same amount of QF SC too at 80.
Not to mention the possibility of getting an equipment swap PER - east coast in a 737!

The MEL-SYD is actually quite low! On 6 flights tomorrow MEL-SYD the one way fare is $1089. A further 9 flights are charging $879

$2178 return to SYD in business class costs more than a return SYD/MEL to London in economy on QF (and almost double some third tier carrier prices to Europe!).
