Work requires me to travel from Port Moresby to Sydney on Thursday afternoon, July 23rd. They book me on a Qantas / Air Niugini codeshare and I usually travel POM-BNE-SYD to maximise status. My travel department rejected this route stating I must travel on PX003 leaving at 1430. I can only find this flight leaving in the morning, according to both the flight schedule and website. Travel claim that the flight is available and I must book it. I am delaying re-submitting the travel request in the hope it disappears from their system:rolleyes:

Any ideas how I find out if this flight exists and why isn't is a Q codeshare?

Closest I can see is PX005 which leaves on Friday @ 14:30... (Thu @ 15:30).

I agree with your findings. Doesn't make sense to me either.

Have checked Zuji (which I think uses Sabre), and it shows PX003 in the morning. Looked at an Amadeus timetable on the net and it shows the same. ExpertFlyer also shows the same, as does an Amex booking engine and ITA Software.

Maybe your TA is a mind reader (and the timetable is set to change), or perhaps they're on mind altering drugs...

On Sabre I can only see PX3 POMBNE leaving at 0645 on 23JUL. QF codeshares the flight as PX352. Or PX5/QF350 at 1530.

There's also PX90/QF384 POMCNS at 0930.

No PX3 at 1430...

I suspect the latter:mrgreen:

Thanks for your help Mal and QF009... I am going to delay making the booking for another few weeks and see what happens.
