Does the Cathay Website charge a forex transaction fee?

For flights out of Australia that show as AUD.
Just wondering if anyone had a recent experience using a non-fx-fee-free credit card.
There was an older 2017 post on here that said they didn't.
But then a recent reddit comment from back in May claims that they apparently now do.

Pretty sure I wasn’t charged a tx fee (neither by CX nor CC) buying Oz to China or Oz to USA via the CX website a few months ago

Just make sure it’s the AU site charging AUD?

I've not been charged a forex fee on Cathay AU using CBA Ultimate and a NAB QF Signature (June 25).

Nope - they are actually one of the better carriers in this aspect. On Sunday I paid no fees booking a flight using my Amex that attracts a 3% intl forex fee.

This means that not only did they bill me domestically from Australia, but that they also don’t add a credit card surcharge into payments made with them. Love this a lot!

Wonder what exactly happened with that reddit commenter's case though.
