Does QF actually provide ongoing training to their check-in agents?

Perhaps I should have messaged RedRoo, but then I suspect an opinion of one is not statistically meaningful.

Firstly, I am not unhappy with the check-in results. As far as I can tell, I (eventually) received what I was entitled. Perhaps more even. This was business/international connections check-in.

However, it was interesting that given MH has been in OneWorld for quite some time, that the check-in agent had to call a supervisor to confirm that MH was in OneWorld and thus could have onward luggage tagging and boarding passes issued when connecting from QF flights.. As well, SriLankan Airlines was just another airline flying people around, ie. not recognized as OneWorld.

I can understand calling to confirm technical issues (ie how to - for unusual or infrequent requests) but am I expecting too much for check-in agents to be aware of which airlines are OneWorld partners?

Happy wandering

I doubt the PER check in agents are all that motivated about anything international anymore... :(
