Does MEL T2 still require LAGs to be in plastic bags?

As per the thread title. Can't find definitive answer on Melbourne Airport's website.

I still keep my LAGs in a clear plastic bag due to inconsistent approaches around the world. Also makes them easy to show security staff when a false positive scan happens…

Yes indeed, and I always take my laptop bag out from my carryon and have it scanned separately, wherever I am in the world. Even so, it goesn't always go well. Some places just need to find something.

For example, LST recently, My carryon went through unscathed, but my laptop bag was pulled aside. I was told that all laptops have to be swabbed for explosives, without exception. There you go... Nice to see that all Aust airports are working to the same rules.
