Do Virgin have lounge passes similar to Qantas?

Has anyone used the physical lounge passes? Do they ask to see your ANZ Travel Adventures card at the lounge desk when entering? I'm just wondering if I can give mine away to friends without me having to travel with them? As a Velocity Platinum member, I doubt I'd use them - and it would be a nice surprise for a friend.

At MEL and BNE lounges in early December, they did ask for anything other than boarding pass and lounge pass.

Since this thread has been resurrected whats your opinion on electronic lounge passes, personally I like them for silver but I think banks/american express should issue physical ones so they can be given as gifts especially with so many Golds/Plats

I would love to get physical passes instead of the electronic ones on my Velocity Amex. As WP I never get to use them as I just don't guest more than 3 people at a time! My two ANZ passes will be gifted each year. Would love to be able to do that with my amex ones too.
