Hey Everyone,

A couple days ago I stayed at the Novotel Sydney International Airport using the Stay Plus “free” night as an Accor+ member. I checked the All app today and noticed the stay hasn’t credited to my account as a night stayed.

Is this normal? Am I missing something here?

My understanding is that it only counts if you generate some paid activity with the stay. For example, if you stay for two nights with one paid, you will receive two status nights. Or if you dine at the restaurant and charge the bill to you room. I'm sure another member will be able to verify exactly what does/doesn't count.

I think you are right Sudoer. I *think* Accor states that Stay Plus nights are not qualifying nights but I got nights credited doing what you described above. I usually bill a dinner at the restaurant to the room, or even parking fees at the hotel.

I billed dinner to my room and haven’t seen either the invoice for the dinner nor the stay credit appearing in my account (although i see the dinner has already been charged to the card I have on file)

Maybe I need a few more days for Accors systems to work this out?

I have found that, in general, the creditting of stays is all over the place at the moment. As far as the eligibility, according to Accor

  • Stay Plus night is deemed as an eligible night to earn Status and Reward points only when you have an eligible spend charged to the booking, for example, charging a meal at the hotel restaurant back to your room, room service or additional paid nights attached to the booking

Contact the hotel and ask them to email you the folio/invoice. Don't mention the missing points/night yet.

Good find!

Just sent off an email to hotel requesting the folio.

Hopefully they get back in the coming day or two.

Update: I haven't received my folio yet but checking the Accor site my Stay+ at the Novotel has now posted:

I booked a client of mine on a wholesale rate they spent money at the Fairmont Singapore but received no points for the folio of charges is this normal ? with Hilton Hyatt and IC any spend gets creditd

Points on the room rate itself would depend on the wholesale agreement.

Points on other spend, e.g. restaurants/spa, should be credited if the spend was charged to the room and their ALL number was on the booking.

If the latter and a reasonable amount of time has passed, they should submit a copy of their folio to ALL support and ask them to chase it with the property.

I emailed Fairmont sing and was told any spend gets no points if a wholesale rate. I was not asking for spend on room only upgrade charges and food
