I'm asking for a friend - we fly this route often but as we don't use the pyjamas I can't remember whether they have them on this flight as its day all the way from SYD to JNB.

Could anyone confirm? Thanks very much.

I've done this route a few times. Mostly no PJs (as its a day flight), but they were provided the last time I took that flight in Feb. PJs are always available on the return leg to SYD.

If I could ask, what about SYD-LAX in J QF11 (deps 0950), what's the chances of PJs?

I fly this route every 6 months. I have always been offered PJs on both flights. Given the length of the flight, so they should.

I'm flying again in 4 weeks but I might shove an old set in my bag just in case.

Pyjamas were handed out when I flew this route about 3 years ago. By crazy if they didn't. After the lunch service 90% of the cabin went to sleep.

I’ve always received them

Flying this on 4 July.... interesting to hear that most folks (on Daver6's flight at least) turned in after lunch....

Sorry, this might be a bit off topic, but does anyone know if they hand them out on the ex aus flights to Beijing and Shanghai?

Cheers,

Snooze

They hand them out on overnight flights to Jakarta so I would assume yes. Just take care that the flight to PEK/SHA is operated by QF and not a codeshare with MU.

SYD-CGK is a daytime flight, not overnight.

Err, I meant flight from Jakarta then. Happy? I don't see how it changes the point I was making..
Don't get snappy. QF typically hands out pyjamas only on overnight flights, not daytime flights, so yes, it does make a material difference which direction of travel you're on with respect to receiving pyjamas.

snooze will receive pyjamas on the flight back to AUS from China, but not necessarily the other way round.
