Pretty much as the title says. I've just joined Accor Plus via Amex and am booking a few rooms for travel with 2 kids. The Accor website seems very proactive in offering a 50% discount on a second room which is pretty good value in some cases. If I go ahead and book can anyone confirm whether both rooms would count as "nights" for status qualification or only one of them? It's not a dealbreaker but it's a big tipping point in chosing that option.

No. You will earn ALL reward points for the additional room cost, but not status nights:

7.2.2 Eligible expenses as part of an Eligible Stay
Expenses for Member accommodation in a room in the hotel and, if applicable, for on eother room at the same hotel on the same date (for a maximum of two invoicedrooms), provided that (i) the Member is staying in one of these rooms and that (ii) the second room is not occupied by another Member. Note: The Member may be able to earn on accommodation expenses for both rooms, but the number of Status Nights is based only on the Member's room.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
