Had four bags checked in and three arrived with me. Last one got delivered home after almost 60 hours.

I think that some policies will cover delayed luggage so this should be the section of your policy that you should be looking at.

Check your policy and also see what you need to be able claim and what evidence you need to provide that it was delayed.

I lost an entire contents of the fridge during a prolonged black out at the start of the year and we had to take photos of all the containers/jars and bottles and then had to go and purchase all the products and they would cough it from there. PITA and had a limit of $500,excess is what killed it as we have a $150 excess contents of the fridge was about $300 to $400. Meat/seafood had to be weighed.

TID explicitly says it won't cover delayed luggage when you're returning to your home port. Not sure about others.
