I had planned to visit Angkor this February. The short version of the story is that my traveling companions had unforeseen issues and work would really prefer I wasn't away quite so long. So I am left with the issue of connecting in SIN with the last three coupons of my LONE4. I had planned on flying Air Asia, Tiger or JetStar with my Australian friend, so I have quite a decision on how I should get to SIN to connect with the current 08:20 JAL flight on 17 Feb.

Choices:
1. Change my open segment PER-SIN. May need this coupon if I can talk my wife into a long weekend before she heads to the states in May.
2. Use some of the last of my QF miles (25K) to get an award seat. Yes there is presently a Y seat available (and most days)
3. Fly Jetstar - Arrives SIN main terminal about 06:00 - I will need to check in with the transfer desk. Requires hand luggage only.
4. Fly Tiger - Arrives SIN LCC terminal about 02:30 - Probably about the same cost as the QF award with taxes.

For items 1/2 I could change the JL flight to the overnight (23:20 departure on 16 Jan) to avoid the overnight in SIN though the early arrival means leaving the hand luggage at the hotel while I wander until checkin time.

Any thoughts on connection timing and/or sleeping in economy issues?
