I tried to look for an answer on QF website and the fine prints but could find it. Any help is appreciated.

With less than 5 months to go and on 560 SC, I am giving up requalifying for Platinum and joining QR Privilege Club to try and get their Platinum status by Dec.

It's impossible to get any SC unless flying PE or J.

Not meaning to seem rude, but blatantly untrue.

Perhaps you meant "meaningful number of SC"?
I fly a lot of inter-asia and Asia-Middle East. On both CX and QR, there is no SC for all types of economy fare you can buy. Even 100% flexible fares.

For example, I just looked up HKG-SIN for flights in March. Flex economy which is the most expensive economy option will book into fare class Q and S. Both not eligible for SC.

I fly a lot
Understand that your travel in intra-asia and ME. I read elsewhere that attaining LT-OWE is easier with BA. Have you give BA a thought? You already are LTG (LT-OWS) with QF and I don't think *A do any lifetime statuses?

UA has lifetime status, but only gives *G which is only equivalent to LTG (sapphire) so it's a bit different. so does OZ and EgyptAir (MS?) I believe. might be a couple of others.

I did look at BA but the 4 eligible flights a year will be a challenge. I don't fly to Europe much. Last time was 2019 to Moscow.

Quite a few *A do but only flights on their metal are eligible (AC, AV, CA, MS, NH, UA) or you need many consecutive years at their top level (LH, SA, SK). Asiana (OZ) was always the most achievable but as their merger with KE is likely to be consumated, this will likely fall away and KE in SkyTeam has stated their intention to do away with their own lifetime status.
  • AC: on AC metal flights only--lifetime 50K (Elite) (*G) after 1M miles; lifetime 75K after 2M miles; lifetime 100K (SuperElite) after 3M miles
  • AV: Member must earn 1MM (Lifetime Gold, *G) via AV and affiliate metal, be 60 years of age AND be a LifeMiles or previous program member for 15 years. 2MM gives Lifetime Diamond. Program is called CENIT
  • CA: Lifetime Platinum (*G) after 1M kms on CA-coded flights only
  • LH: Lifetime Senator (*G) after 10 consecutive years of membership at such level, but only if aged 60+
  • MS: Lifetime Platinum (*G) after 1M miles on MS flights (or all *A flights ??)
  • NH: 500k (NH Metal) - , 1MM (NH Metal) - (1)No mileage expiration, (2)Superflyers Card, 2MM/3MM (NH Metal) - (3)F Suite lounge access on NH Metal and (1) and (2)
  • OZ: Lifetime Diamond Plus (*G) after 500,000 miles on *A flights/ 500 OZ's flights. Lifetime Platinum after 1M *A flights/ 1k OZ's flights
  • SA: Lifetime Platinum (*G) after 6 consecutive years of membership at the Platinum level or alternatively: 720 000 SAA Tier Miles** during a minimum of 4 consecutive years and to a maximum of 6 consecutive years on Platinum status by earning at least 120 000 SAA Tier Miles in each year
  • SK : Lifetime Gold (*G) after 10 consecutive years of membership at Gold or higher level
  • UA: Lifetime Gold (*G), Platinum (*G), 1K (*G), GS (*G) after 1M, 2M, 3M, 4M respectively, but only flown on UA/UAX metal (no longer CM)

rapidly becoming OT, but re UA I lucked out because pre-merger with CO, UA counted all earn with Star Partners to that point to the LT Premier Status, but that was a one off. I think it may have actually happened with the merger of Mileage Plus and OnePass(CO) actually. Definitely around that time. I had my total boosted by about 500k give or take. Nearly at 1MM but wouldn't be close without that huge bump from heaps of AN, LH, AC, SQ, TG and NZ flights over the years :D

but yeah now it's just UA metal (I had thought some UA marketed JV flghts also counted still, but could be wrong on that).
