Do EY ever open up more availability on VA operated flights?

Wishing to hear from other people's experiences with the VA/EY partnership. Flying back from AUH-SYD on 28/4 would much rather be back in Sydney in the morning. Looking at EF; EY6450 (VA30) is showing all 0s in J, yet if you search under the VA code it's showing all 2s in J.

Has anyone known EY to gain more seats on these codeshares?
