Do Alaska Airlines flights operated by Skywest reward Qantas status?

Hello hive,

Looking at some flights on the West coast of America booked on Alaska Airlines (which is part of OWA)
The flights themselves however, are operated by Skywest but have an Alaska Airlines flight number Alaska 3385 and Alaska 3347 (see screenshots)
Would these flights reward Qantas status? Or would only flights specifically operated by Alaska Airlines be eligible?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they do.

Basically the equivalent of Qantaslink

I've flown on them many times.

The "Check in with Alaska Airlines" is a hint that these flights are still operating under AS code and are therefore regional, operated on behalf of the parent, and not codeshare.

Most North American carriers, just like Qantas, all have regional arms which in many cases are subcontracted to different operators, which they have to disclose. But the ticketing/commercial arrangements/codes are all with the parent airline, unlike a codeshare arrangement which is between two more or less "equal" airlines.

Just flew my first ever AS sector (Skywest) today. Will report back how long SCs take to post.

No different to mainline (just like Qantaslink is no different to mainline). It's all the same system.

Thanks all for the replies. It’s been very helpful. Would be good to know once your status is posted SYD so I have a rough idea of how long the status takes to credit.
