As of today all flights between PER to BNE/SYD/MEL now include FREE tea, coffee & water for ALL guests regardless of fare purchased

Perhaps a start of a move to full service??

I strongly think that virgin will move to full service for all routes like QF. The galley's have been upgraded, they want to be a full service airline, and they are doing it on routes already. Hope for the best!

Hmmm, yes. I heard about this earlier this morning. I think it's a great idea, water/juice is all I'll normally have on a flight.

SYD/CBR is already sort of Full Service. I hope we'll start to see all capital city services ( And OOL!!) switch to complimentary basic refreshments.

As much as I'd love to see full service, I don't think we'll see full service until at least next year.

Agreed, if they went full service, i also agree next year, when business class is fully rolled out, game change program is complete, and all the teething issues and all.

It seams that the ATR services to Gladstone are inclusive of catering as well, PQQ as well??? I would assume so.
Does the Virgin website display anywhere, what level of catering is provided? Its getting a bit confusing, water here, food there, coffee here, but not there, blah blah. It does not bother me, because I usually only grab a coffee and maybe a biscuit, so whats a couple of bucks, but I think they need to clarify which flight are inclusive, and use that to their advantage. Their marketing of these refreshment inclusive fares for all pax has been unusually quiet.
I think the pay for stuff is a pain for the staff, and so time consuming, the revenue generated would be negligable, and I think as the flexi / J fares increase, then they will just drop pay for food it all together, as it will lose $$$

All ATR services will be free food / drinks due to the deomographic of the market and stowage limitations for catering.
