Some info in this mornings paper

The other interesting comment:
Churchill is alleged to have said to a police officer: "When I get out of here I am going to run amok, get a gun and kill you c---s".

How classy. Hopefully the judicial system will sort him out ... hopefully (they are getting harsher on in-air idiots).

Wow, what a nice guy...

Three months in prison would sort him out.

Looks to be a max of 2 years jail for "Interference with crew or aircraft" S24(1) Civil Aviation Act 1988

But let's face it, he's not likely to get anywhere near that. Even though he apparently has a violent past (according to one of the new articles), and has clearly demonstrated that he is not the nicest of people, he'll be very unlucky to get put away.

Think I might have met this "chap" on a flight PER-ASP last year.. I think that one had about 7 small johnny walker bottles in the 2.5 hour flight.

As soon as the seat belt light went off, the call button went on..

Anyway this one sounds like a real charmer.. hopefully J*, QF and DJ start to co-ordinate their 'ban' lists so clowns like this one don't annoy more people..

That's quite an interesting question - perhaps crazydave will know?

I'd agree they should co-ordinate their lists.

I guess the only caveat to that is if you were for instance to have a mitigating reason (mental illness, medication-related) that meant you casued a ruckus but was reversible / treateble, how long would you be held on the list for?

Do US or EU airlines do the same, or are they all individually held lists?

Me thinks prison is what has already contributed to his behaviour.

In days gone this type of person would have been sorted out by some of the other pax. Not that I'm suggesting violence or vigilantism. Just that past generations were more then willing to telling an idiot to pull their head in.

How long before we become like the US and the UK where boarding staff refuse boarding due to their expectations of drunk or sober?
I hope we don't head down this path. Most of us that have had a little too much to drink before/during a still have our manners and behave ourselves. Why should we be punished because some imbeciles do not know how to behave in public?
