I know their is a thread dedicated to this but couldnt find it sorry.

Just arrived into Sydney on QF412 with Mrs Ansett and have just experienced something I have never seen before.

A toilet breal was required in the latter part of the flight and as some one was already using the facility I patiently awaited my turn, should point out that we were flying J on a 767 the ex BA bird, then the door opened and the fellow passenger who sat in the front row exited and sat down.

As I entered the toilet the smell was worse than usual, I looked at the wash basin to see it was full of water with tissues left floating in it then noticed that he had left a present in the toilet bowel.

DISCRACEFUL I am still in shock !!!!!

And no this was not a high vis guest but a well attired male who by the looks of him should have known better

Poor form
Indeed, as bad as a logust plague...

Cheers skip

Discusting

I really think a large number of people just don't know how the 1) drain the hand basin or (less often) 2) flush the toilet. Just based on observation.

I would have dry reached and walked out of it saying as loudly as possible how disgusting can someone be (in the direction of the named pax)
Hence why I am lucky I can avoid using airplane toilets up to around 10 hours

Totally agree re the hand basin. As for flushing, perhaps the guy didn't hit the button with sufficient force and didn't realise it had not worked?

And I take it from this statement that because a person wears Hi Viz to work that you would "have expected" that?

Bigot

You should have gone back to the said pax (in J I presume), and said (in a decently loud voice) - 'Mate, you left something in the toilet. Do you mind cleaning up your mess!' They key here is to say it loud enough so that other people hear. FA comes to see what's going on, just repeat...or even take the FA and show him/her.

What do you mean munitalP?
Everyone knows that "HiVizzers" are slovenly, bum-scratching, nose-picking oiks and well dressed people have impeccable manners. Not!

Bigot

Absolutely not but knowing the asumptions that people make I thought best to clarify straight away.

I would not expect this behaviour from any one

Seems that people make assumptions all the time such as your comment calling me a Bigot to which I take offence

Not sure what I find most disappointing about this incident..

That the offender wasn't easily generalised, OR that it wasn't in fact someone in high-vis fulfilling a generalisation.

Im sorry if you have taken offence, not meant personally, it's how your sentence reads my comment is to define the sentence not the person :)

To clarify

I did indeed make a rather loud comment about the inconsideration of people whislt looking at him and he laughed and sat down!

The flight attendants were brilliant they stepped in and cleaned the toilet immediately and apologised for the rudeness of other customers such that I am sure he could hear. Again he just sat and smiled.

I struggled not to grab him by the collar and rub his nose in it as some do to puppies that require toilet training.

Absolutely discgraceful.

Good. At least you did something.

I hate people like this.

I just think that this guy was a rude Pr#%&

It was evident he made no attempt the toilet seat was up the sink totally full so no effort what so ever. Indded if one experiences issues with a toiler or basin then surely the honorable thing to would be to advise the enxt passenger along the lines hand their is an issue with the toilet and basin I just need to get the FA.

Oh but alas that would require people to have manners, sadly a commodity often in very short supply.
