Well the boy hadn't had a poo for a bit over a week, so off to the Vet for a basic check over, nothing unusual found, his tummy was soft, but he isn't eating much. He had lost 1/2 kilo.

The Vet gave us a laxative was supposedly odorless and tasteless, add some to his favourite food. Max says, "you are joking, I'm not eating that".

So back to Vet, sedated, bloods taken, he is a little anemic, but everything else checked out fine, no kidney issues, pancreas fine, however they administered another laxative and and an appetite stimulant.

Success, he did a massive poo and is eating like there is no tomorrow. He would not let any of the Vet staff pat him, at home he is the complete opposite. Not sure what sort of drugs they used to put him under, but his behavior has been weird, meowing constantly and wanting so much attention.

The best news of all was that the Vet said he is a very healthy cat in all other regards.

Even better is that we got a sizeable, about 80% of the total amount back from woolies pet insurance.
