I haven't been on here for a while, we lost Otis last year to a lung disorder, vet never really found out the problem. My absolute best pet, ever.
In Istanbul (city of cats) atm and this is in the foyer of where we are staying, help themselves to the cleaner's basket. Technically street cats but mother (outside) has made this apartment block her base home. They just wait at the entrance when they want to go in/out.

Just one cat photo from this last trip, (Lombok).

A post on a local cat page from Canberra on fb said that a couple took their 13 year old cat to the vet to be put down, it was getting old and had a few medical issues and they didn't want to deal with that anymore. The Vet talked them into surrendering the cat. It will be on it's way to Tassie soon to an old cat's home, thanks to people helping out. We paid the vet bill that was owing, so happy to help, can't believe that people could do that to their pet, but I do realise not everyone's circumstances are similar to ours. Hope the boy, "old man?" Lives a long life.

Sadly veterinarians see a dark side of human nature more often than we all would expect.
Euthanising animals in need is not uncommon.
