Perfect pet - no mess, food or attention required.
Can't understand its sour disposition but probably historically inbred.

here is the lovely Max and a link to a news feed as to why he is an indoor cat, and hopefully never gets out.
I did have some pm's requesting more photos of him, so here are a few, some maybe reposts.

The article mentions feral cats and not strays so not hard to tell the difference. I would say that's a vet I would be avoiding for anything other than you know your pet is dying and can't be saved and you want them put to sleep without delay.
It also mentions compensation and for some people myself included their pets are part of the family.

Yes this was a terrible thing to happen but there isn't exactly a waiting list for vets to kill cats.. especially out in the boonies
Any vet with the invidious task of euthanising animals deserves a medal rather than censure…imo (again)

Heartbroken, exactly, what a terrible situation to go through.
I know Vets have a tough job, I know for a fact I couldn't do it, the least aspect being I'm not smart enough.
Having to deal, with grieving owners of pets being put down must take it's toll on your mental health.
It does surprise me that the clinic involved could not tell the difference between a feral cat and a domesticated cat, I would be interested in hearing their side of the story.
I've said before, Max is confined indoors, out occassionally on a lead, he has got out 4 times, but he stops at the nearest thing that interests him, normally a car tire/wheel that he has to smell and so far, thank god, he has been picked up quite easily.

Last cat I trapped here was very fiesty.. took the girl quite a bit to get him out of my trap into a cage ( she was amazingly patient)

I have started letting the dog hunt prowling cats in our house yard ( about 4000m2)..
She never catches them but a hound in full voice in pursuit is a bit bloodchilling and seems to send a message as they find somewhere
else to prowl

Seeing as the cat in question was an indoor cat and not a stray you would think to a vet it would be even easier to tell the difference.
