Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

All ginger one is called Ginger (named by 6 year old grandaughter) and the ginger and white one is Luna (named by 9 year old grandaughter). They are still very timid but loving having space to run around house and plenty of spots to play hide and seek. They have claimed every bed in house but I haven't managed to convince them that toes under the bedcovers are not some creature that needs to be pounced on so they are banned from bedrooms overnight. The slightest sound anyone makes in the morning and they come bounding upstairs hoping someone will come back downstairs and feed them. They have declared war on any fly, moth or other flying creature and its amazing to see them leap and pirotte in unison trying to catch them.

Been a few traumatic days here at Chez Suze as Barry went in for teeth cleaning (second time in his life) and had to have one of his canines removed. The alternative was $3000 worth of dental work to drill and fill, didn't seem worth it when there's little use for it in a very spoiled domestic cat. (though perhaps his mouse catching days are over? who knows?)

When we got him home, he woke me up because he was trying to rip out his stitches with his claws. Which led to an urgent search for his cone of shame. Which he HATED. Especially because the one we had was huge, so the next day a special trip was made to get him a smaller one which he could actually walk with and eat with.

Anyway, we judged it safe to remove the cone today and he's soooo much happier. A big relief for his anxious parents because I sat up with him that first night until 3am because we were all so distressed by the cone of shame. 2021-04-09 15.09.43.jpg
