Perhaps I could borrow one of the many cats of the forum - we have had a mouse sighting in the house! We put out 6 traps (the kind that close behind the mouse once they go investigate tasty peanut butter) and I heard one shut. We went to investigate and 3/6 traps were closed but no mouse! :O
If we still had Earl, he'd be pretty good I think. He did catch a mouse once.

Time to adopt a new baby I reckon @Drakecula :)
Once we're settled in to the new place and have fixed up the yard where we can look at putting in a run, it's definitely on the cards.
Just as we were about to drift off to sleep, one of the traps went again - but this time we got it! And then another went again around 1am, and again at 2am! :O Three mice in total! I didn't sleep well last night :/
