'Discussion Board' link on forums

First off, I love the site - the info here has been invaluable and opened me up to a new world of flying (and lots of point chasing!)

I noticed clicking the 'Discussion Board' link (next to the house icon, top left of each page on the forum) links to The Australian Frequent Flyer Online Community - The Australian Frequent Flyer which goes back to the homepage, while the Discussion Board link is http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/forum.php which goes to the front page of the actual forums.

I often click it (by habit) thinking it would go to the front page of the forums like it does on other forums I visit. Not a huge deal, but thought it might be worth mentioning.

Small issue

On the navigation links above the thread where it tells you what forum you are in, when you click "Discussion Board" it takes you to the AFF homepage instead of the main discussion board. Can this be fixed? Thanks

There are 2 discussion board links. One on a tab and the other were it tells you what forum you are in. You need to click on the tab version. This issue was discussed in detail when the forum software was updated some time ago. I don't recall the reason but short answer is the current setup can't be changed.

This was noted in an earlier post/thread.

Why it is so relates to the origins of AFF and how the forums were set up.

There had been quite a bit of tailoring away from default vBulletin settings and unfortunately the situation here cannot easily be rectified.

As a result this will continue.

Fortunately, the correct link (bolded and above "Private Messages") is far more obvious then the nearby incorrect link (Smaller font, below / left of "Private Messages").

So just click the link above the red menu bar.

doesn't work for me - the navigation link, not the link in the top menu bar, which works fine. I was just trying to work out where to post this when I noticed Tortuga had already posted it.
