Just signed up to the Dining Rewards program, specifically for a holiday in the US in a few weeks (the cost for the card with free night's stay is cheaper than paying for the night at my NY hotel).

I'm staying at a Holiday Inn for 4 nights, and want to redeem my free night. However, it's tourist season and I'm worried that I'll end up booking a separate room with the voucher, meaning that I'll have to shift out of one room and into the other during the stay.

Has anyone successfully 'swapped' a previously-booked flexible room for a free night? Is it worth calling reservations to have them fix it all up over the phone to avoid any issues?

I would definitely call.
I deleted an offer from IHG for Times Square hotels within the last week-don't know if it was targeted and no longer have it but someone else might be able to pass on to you

It wasn't an offer from IHG. It was an offer from ebates.com offering 9.5% cashback on IHG Times Square hotels
