hello everyone.
I'm looking to book a J trip from Oz to the UK in April. When I look at the flights (Business Saver) on the VA website (VA coded but on EY metal) everything goes through smoothly until I get told that due to a lack of availability one leg (AUH-MAN) will be sat in Y.

When I try and book the same flights on the Etihad website there's no problem with availability - I can obviously even choose my seats. The ticket price, however, is more expensive and I won't get my VA SC's

I realise that VA have restricted allocation of J seats on EY planes. However, does anyone have any experience of those restrictions easing up nearer the time? I've called the VA helpline but the only solution so far is to pay for a more expensive ticket through them.

Happy to hear any and all of your thoughts.
