1st time traveling SYD> DFW> BDL Return...Silver QP member - arrive DFW 13.45 traveling with toddler and wife (both US passports- so all going to plan will get smooth run through customs as per last trip).

What is the best lounge in DFW I can access for shower / recover and prepare for QF4311 (AA aircraft)?

AA has a lounge in each of the four terminals (all connected by the AirTrain)
All have showers and all are OK, though of different designs

Think the next flight departs from Terminal C so I would pick wither C or D.

If it's an AA mainline flight, it could leave from almost anywhere at DFW. I've had 737 and MD80 flights planned to use A, only for it to change to C while in the lounge.
Eagle flights leave from B or D, AA mainline leave from A, C, or D.

The "best" AA lounges at DFW are A or D.

What is your layover time ?

Quite correct Snabbu, planning on 5hrs (enough time for showers- current research has me thinking of going to Terminal A for showers then moving on to the Departure Terminal closer to departure) ...theoretically QF7 arrives 13.45 and QF4312 (on AA) departs at 18.45.
