DFW hotels for day stay

Happy days, AA have cancelled my original flights CTG-xMIA-DFW and I could re-book (after TA requested) newly scheduled flights that not only give me more time to transit MIA (given the often long immigration times there) but get me into DFW much earlier.

I called Hyatt and Hyatt Regency at DFW does offer a day rate, must be booked separately from the overnight stay. Basic King room, 10am-6pm US$157, about 50% of overnight rate, depending on overnight room.

I also just checked Hyatt member rates for a variety of rooms for overnight, and Qantas hotels and Qantas only marginally more expensive. As I don't collect Hyatt points, it'll be Qantas for this, if I go ahead.

Mildly annoying that to get their shuttle, you have to text or call. As I'll have European winter plus Caribbean cruise gear etc, I can't see me hauling the checked bag + carry-on through the garage and up the stairs :)
