Hi,
How do people figure out which seat to request. I regularly travel the MEL - WLG route, sometimes via Sydney and have noticed two configuration of planes being used. On one of them (I think 737-800), I find Row 4 is much better than the exit rows.
When I look at my Qantas booking through Frequent Flyer, it tells me what the airline model is. I understand that can change due to other reasons. But, then how do I determine from that what the seat configuration is? SeatExpert does not even show Qantas having a 737-800. Seatguru shows multiple different 747 configurations, which I can't make out from what the booking shows.
So my question is which tools, websites help in determining which plane you will have and what the best seats are. Also, I am a Gold member at the moment, but will reach Platinum in another 3 weeks (4 Trans Tasman flights a week). Do you think I can call Qantas and reserve seats or is that only for WP status flyers?
Cheers,
MrHyde
