Denver to San Diego Road Trip

Has anyone ever done this raid trip, or something close to it ?

I am looking for information on the roads mainly - using mainly the Interstate Highways. Are you travelling at a higher elevation for most of the trip, what is the road like; is there much to see, etc. etc.

Sounds like a great trip. My only 2cents is when you get to San Diego, Arrogant cough, we went to the one at Liberty Station but theres a couple of choices.

have driven Denver to Salt Lake & Vegas to grand canyon & south west corner of Colorado to see Monument Valley etc.

Did both trips in winter.

I can't imagine going Den/San. I'd suggest drive some of the way & fly some of the way. It's a long way, about the same as OOL/MEL.
