I was reading about this last night. It is quite an increase and the others may follow pretty much because they can. You do not have to compete as much when the other guys make such a big change.
The new AA may take a while to make changes because they are dealing with merging everything to make sure one plus one does not end up at say 85% if the merger turns bad.
