I am off to spend Christmas with family in Auckland. I arrive in Auckland early afternoon on 17/12 and fly to Dunedin early evening for a few days with friends. Returning from Dunedin on 23/12, to then spend the festive season in Auckland.

I intend to take 2 suitcases to Auckland from Oz, one with clothes the other with gifts etc.

What I would like to do is arrange for the gift filled suitcase to be delivered to my mothers house. That way I won't have to drag it to Dunedin and back and pay excess luggage charges.

I can see that the private luggage service will hold luggage for the day and release to a courier for pick up. However, I am struggling to identify a courier / freight company who will do the pick up and delivery.

The alternative is that I take a taxi to And fro from mothers house but that is a bit expensive.

Any courier suggestions? Or any other way of transporting?

Send the suitcase to your mothers house by taxi. That halves the cost of doing the return trip.
