Hello all,

I have been searching on WebJet to build my Multi City International Itinerary (MEL - SIN - FRA) and I am getting codes and fare rules as follows:

CarrierQantas AirwaysFarecodeQLEB07FromMelbourne (Tullamarine Airport)ToFrankfurt (Frankfurt International)

and...

CarrierQantas AirwaysFarecodeSLBB1YFromFrankfurt (Frankfurt International)ToMelbourne (Tullamarine Airport)Rules

Could someone decipher these codes for me and let me know if these fares are eligible for QFF earns, upgrades, status credits etc?

This would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Brett

The first letter is the booking class, in this case Q and S.

They are both treated as discount economy for points and SC earn on QFF.

The Q class fare is not eligable to be upgraded

SLBB1Y -
S - Books in S Class
L - Low Season
BB - Budget Fare
1Y - 1 year validity

QLEB07
Q - Books in Q class
L - Low Season
EB - buget excursion
07 - Valid 7 days ( I think ... but it seems odd that it has a 7 day validity to FRA )

Cheers Dave and Kiwi,

May I ask where you can get this sort of info from? Do I need ExpertFlyer?

You wont get deciphering information from EF, though you can see the fare rules

The part that is most relevent to most people is the 1st character since that normally determines the booking class and so normally eligability to FF miles , upgrades et al

What I have managed to build up so far for fare codes is

( F, T, Q, Y may be used occassionally )

X - Weekday
N - Night

Fare codes seem to very a bit by airline - which airlines are you basing the above on Dave Noble?

The ones I have listed (except for the ones which I listed for BA) are, I believe, standard ones rather than airline specific ones
