Hi there,
I'm currently waitlisted on a SQ flight CAI-MEL departing 3 Dec, paid not on FF points. When I asked the travel agent here why there was no availability >6 mths ahead, she said the airlines release seats for December flights in blocks, rather than all at once.
Just have a couple of questions about this situation and the practice in general.
1) Is this is a usual practice for December flights, even the 1st week?
2) Anyone know how often they release seats - e.g. 50/month?
3) How likely am I to be confirmed? Should I have a backup - SQ are far cheaper than EK or anyone else.
Thanks for your help.
